I'm interested in the strange white shapes in your photograph but also the v-shape the branches are making, a fork in the road. I almost wanted to find a photograph of a person coming in for an embrace, but, unfortunately (or fortunately, just in a different way), the only human subject I have readily available is Ryan and he balks at the idea of having his photograph taken at all, let alone in a particular pose. So nature will continue, apparently. :)
Your nature photography inspired me on my latest trip to try for more nature photos. I generally focus on shapes and shadows--doorways, steps, arches, windows, shutters--which I did again this time, but interspersed, I wanted to try to emulate your lovely nature photographs. I didn't even come close but I had a good time with the new camera. I also want to try to capture people more--something Chelsea does so well. I feel shy doing that, though. "Dead" things like buildings don't threaten me the way people do. So my thinking about photography is slowly evolving to include some new perspectives, thanks to my two talented photographer daughters. It is my hope that I can continue to grow.
Oh, and your interesting leaves and expectant buds made me think of this photo of similarly interesting leaves and not entirely open flower buds. The bee was an added extra--working hard to get the honey, which brings me back to your loads of honey.
"Call and response is also crucial because it involves the audience; it transcends the separation of audience and performers so common in the west. The music is participatory in nature, it is not meant to be watched from afar." --The Influence of African Rhythms
