This is a photography of a crayfish shell I found on the rocks by the backwaters of the Mississippi. We (my girl friends Emily, Chris, and Angie) were having a book club meeting--Pilgrim at Tinker Creek--and it seemed suitable to take photographs of things found *between*. It's all about noticing, the like.
"Call and response is also crucial because it involves the audience; it transcends the separation of audience and performers so common in the west. The music is participatory in nature, it is not meant to be watched from afar." --The Influence of African Rhythms
